ECOcard Ltd's core business is the ECO card, a secure and private online equivalent to regular credit cards. The ECOcard is a prepaid virtual debit card that can be funded through wire transfer or direct deposits via your local bank. There are no registration or membership fees. Deposits to your ECO card are subject to bank charges depending on your bank's policy. Withdrawals from your card are subject to a fee, depending on which withdrawal method you use. All customers have access to their account through a secure connection. The banking interface includes your real-time balance, as well as your payment history.

Sign up

You can sign-up for the ECO card at their website. Signing up is free and very easy and only involves registering you e-mail address and your password, as well as choosing your preferred currency. After agreeing to the terms and conditions the details for activating your card will be sent to the e-mail address you registered. This includes your unique ECOcard number and ECO user id.

Deposit funds in your ECO card

Login to your ECOcard account and proceed to the Money Deposits section. You will be presented with a list of banks and their details. You can print out a deposit order and use it at your bank to make a deposit to your ECOcard, or you can make a wire transfer from your banking account to your ECO card. Bank charges may apply depending on your bank's policies.

Withdraw funds from your ECOcard

Login to your ECO card account and proceed to the Withdraw section. You will be presented with two methods to withdraw your money: wire transfer or bank check. All withdrawal request are processed within two days. Wire transfers are subject to a $10 fee and available for all registrants. Bank checks are subject to a $25 fee and only available for Italian and UK registrants.

Paying merchants with your ECOcard

Once you have deposited funds into your ECO card you can pay any merchant that is registered with ECOcard Ltd. Paying a merchant with the ECO card typically is initiated at the merchant's site. The banking Interface may differ depending on the merchant, but you will always have to provide the amount you want to deposit, your ECOcard number and password. Funds are transferred immediately.
