When you have to win you Rarely Will
Online casino gambling, like life, is full of ironies. Veteran
gamblers will often talk of the great irony of rarely if ever winning
a bet when they absolutely had too. There have been more than a
few bankrolls that have been blown apart and busted by the proverbial
“must win” bet. When you have to bet to stay alive,
eat, pay the rent or the car note, it’s as if there is a certain
karma that plays as a part of the equation and it’s rarely
pretty.
Part of the problem with a “must win” bet is that it
causes a tremendous amount of strain and pressure on a gambler.
Such pressure can cloud and confuse otherwise sound minds and make
for bad decisions that normally would not be made. Beyond that such
intense pressure often brings an emotional element into the equation
as far as gambling decisions and that is rarely productive or successful
as well.
The best way to avoid being in a “must win” position
at an online casino is exercising iron discipline and will at all
times and removing emotion from the equation as much as possible.
This means that when you are on a losing streak it is often best
to just walk away and literally “cut your losses” as
the saying goes rather than pour more of your bankroll down a sewer.
Learning how to lose is as important as learning how to win and
the most successful gamblers always leave a supply of ammunition
for the next battle ahead, even if losing the battle at hand.
